Have you ever found yourself overcome with emotion while eating in the majestic Cinderella castle? Can’t wipe the grin off your face while strolling down Maine Street USA?  If so, then we have a lot in common!  My journey toward becoming a Disneyphile all began back in 1978 when my parents brought my siblings and me to the Polynesian Village Resort to escape the Chicago snow.  That was just the first of countless trips to Disney World, voyages on Premier Cruise Line and later on Disney Cruise Line.  Now my life revolves around my husband (Kurt), two kids (son Alex and daughter Ella), my job as a veteran high school English teacher and my love of all things Disney.  In my house we are either on a Disney vacation, mapping out our next trip or helping friends plan their Disney adventure.  In between all of the chaos, I am the quintessential soccer mom, cheering on both of my children’s travel teams as well as the university team my husband coaches.

Being chosen as the Family of the Day and helping Mickey “open” the Magic Kingdom was the culmination of years of dreams and wishes for my family.  Recently we celebrated Christmas at the Walt Disney World Resort with 15 family members, which was simply magical.  The best thing is that no matter how many times we experience the magic of Disney, it is still there the next time we return!!!
