Epcot The Land, Patrick Murtagh
I love calorie splurging on treats and snacks here and there while vacationing at Walt Disney World (who doesn’t, right?), but for the most part, I try to remain conscious about making healthy choices. My family prefers eating Quick Service meals since we like to maximize our time on attractions; which makes finding healthy options a little more challenging. On our last trip, we made a stop at Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion at Epcot. This spot is well-known for its healthy choices, and I was excited to give it a try!
Sunshine Seasons is set up like a Food Court. There are four different stations where you can order: Asian fare, gourmet sandwiches, soups and salads, and wood-fired entrees. There are also a number of refrigerated cases with grab-and-go options, snacks, and desserts.
There were SO many mouth-watering selections to choose from! I was torn between the Oak-grilled rotisserie chicken served with black beans and rice, the Power Salad with oak-grilled chicken, quinoa, almonds, and honey vinaigrette, and the Oak-grilled Vegetarian Flatbread Sandwich. However, while walking back and forth between my options, the Southwest Chicken Wrap in the grab-and-go refrigerated case caught my eye and sounded perfect!
The Southwest Chicken Wrap was filled with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, corn, black beans, and just a couple jalapenos. It was delicious—full of freshness and flavor!
My husband selected the Spicy Fish Tacos with cabbage slaw and poblano pepper aioli. You could consider my husband a connoisseur of fish tacos, and he said these were pretty good.
My daughters shared a Macaroni & Cheese Kid’s Meal. It came with two sides, which we selected fresh green beans and grapes. (The Macaroni & Cheese itself is not pictured, but it is the same as the others served around the various parks and resorts.)
I think it is important to point out that the foods offered at Sunshine Seasons are made using the very vegetables and fruits grown in the greenhouses of the Land Pavilion. I love knowing where my food came from and also knowing that it is as fresh as possible. You can see the The Land greenhouses by riding the Living with the Land boat ride or by scheduling a Behind the Seeds at Epcot one hour walking tour.
If you are looking for a quick and healthy meal while at Walt Disney World, I highly suggest checking out Sunshine Seasons! There were many different healthy options to choose from that were fresh and unique.

Now those were truly healthier options! 🙂 I just saw another article recently that stated a veggie pizza as a healthy option. (smh) These actually have some amazing and healthy ingredients in them and we know they are sprayed to death with poisons or GMO’d to death. Thank you for reminding me there are actually some healthier options when I’m in WDW!
