Disney recently announced not one but two celebrations being planned exclusively for Disney Vacation Club members!

Independence Day Dessert Party

The first event, the Independence Day Dessert Party, will be taking place at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on Sunday, July 3rd. Guests will have the opportunity to dine on red, white and blue desserts, patriotic punch and an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages at this exclusive party. In addition to these wonderful desserts and drinks, Guest will have a great time playing the carnival games while waiting for the main event to take place…Disney’s Celebrate America-A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky which is held at the Magic Kingdom.  There will also be celebrities at the event! Mickey and Minnie, dressed in their patriotic clothing, will be at the party and will pose for pictures with Guests. Included in the price of admission is a complimentary take-home print.

The Independence Day Dessert Party will be held in the Convention Center at Disney’s Contemporary Resort  and will begin at 8 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. The price for adult tickets are $35 and child tickets are $22. Tax, gratuity and alcoholic beverages are not included. Reservations can be made by calling Member Services at 800-800-9800. Valid DVC membership card and photo ID required at check-in.

Jubilee Celebration

The second celebration, the Jubilee Celebration, will take place at the Disneyland Resort in California. Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests are invited to attend the Jubilee Celebration, a special soiree brimming with nostalgia, on Sunday, July 17, 2016.  “Enjoy a dazzling party celebrating over 60 years of magical memories at the Disneyland Resort—the retro theme will transport you to 1955, when the Happiest Place on Earth opened its gates for the first time!” (Excerpt from the Disney Vacation Club website)

The Jubilee Celebration features the following unique experiences, all of which are subject to change.

• A dance party with a live DJ playing a mix of modern and retro tunes
• Disneyland Park trivia
• Carnival-style games
• An opportunity to meet a few unique Characters
• Convenient print-on-demand stations to create complimentary print souvenirs
• Classic Disneyland refreshments—alcoholic beverages available via cash bar for those Guests 21 years of age or older
• Special décor spread throughout the room:
  • Vintage Disneyland attraction posters
  • Photo locations representing each of the park’s original “lands”—Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland

The Jubilee Celebration will be held in the Sequoia Ballroom, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa  and will begin at 4 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. The price for adult tickets are $35 and child tickets are $22. Tax, gratuity and alcoholic beverages are not included. Booking begins on May 20, 2016. Reservations are required. Call Member Services at 800-800-9800.
