Due to its popularity during last year’s Star Wars Weekends, the Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast is returning this year. Feeling the Force first thing in the morning doesn’t require a trip to a galaxy far, far away. Held daily at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast provides one of the most interactive and well-themed character meals at Walt Disney World Resort.
Upon entering the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, guests are greeted by none other than Darth Vadar and Boba Fett for a great photo opportunity. Disney PhotoPass photographers are on-hand to capture the out-of-this-world meeting. Diners are given a PhotoPass Card which includes your family’s photo as well as a few stock photos of Darth Vadar and the other characters from the meal.
While dining, Stormtroopers, Jawas, and Greedo roam through the restaurant and stop to meet you at your table. The characters were very interactive with all patrons as well as with each other. Be sure to take a small trinket to trade with the Jawas. My son loved trading a Star Wars pen and receiving small glow sticks. The character interaction was exceptional!
The breakfast is well-themed and the food plentiful. A variety of breakfast options abound and are appropriately named- Imperial Delight, Tatooine Sunrise, and Ackbar Surprise, etc. Beverages are included in the price, and our family greatly enjoyed having the blue Bantha Milk with our breakfast.
We have done many character meals at Walt Disney World, but this has to be one of the best meals we have experienced.
Pricing:
Advance reservations are highly recommended as most dates and times fill up quickly. Advance dining reservations for this meal are listed from May 4 – June 14, 2015. While a bit pricey at $49.99 per adult and $31.99 per child (ages 3-9), we found the experience to be well worth the expense. This character meal is 2 dining credits if participating in the Disney Dining Plan. May the Force be with you!
