On your mark. get set…GO! It’s a high-speed race through the Ornament Valley, also known as Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure Park. Radiator Springs Racers is a must-do ride at the Park. There is nothing like the Radiator Springs Racers anywhere; it’s a combination of rollercoaster and dark ride, culminating in a friendly race with another car. Not only will you be transported to an entirely new land via the stunning Cadillac Range mountains, you’ll also get to see all your favorite characters from the Cars movies.
This ride consistently has a lengthy wait. I recommend that you arrive to the Park at least 30 minutes before opening to make sure you are one of the first in line to grab your FastPass. The FastPass area for Radiator Springs Racers is just outside the entrance to “a bug’s land.” If the line isn’t too long after you’ve grabbed your FastPass, hop in line and take a spin first thing.
There is a 40” height requirement for this ride. My three-year old was thrilled to have the chance to ride it on our last visit to the Disneyland Resort and it quickly became one of his favorites. Make sure to leave plenty of time in your day to explore the rest of the Cars Land area. It’s definitely an accurate slice of life from the movie and you can meet n’ greet with some of the characters in front of the Cozy Cone Motel. There are some wonderful photo locations alongside the ride and it’s especially pretty when the sun hits the mountain range. Make sure to take a trip back to the area at night once the neon lights are lit and twinkling.
