Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas, also referred to as AKL, is one of eight Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts. The average rate per night is approximately $248.00, before tax.  The typical standard room is approximately 344 square feet and can sleep up to four (4) guests. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is unique in that guests can discover over 30 species of African wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, gazelles, kudu and flamingos. Identify each species with a Wildlife Field Guide (found in your Guest Room, with extras available from the Lobby Concierge), and learn more about African animals and ecosystems during fun programs led by Animal Specialists.

Jambo House

Jambo House is home to  970 Standard Rooms as well as 216 Jambo House Villas. Located near Jambo House is Uzima Pool, an 11,000-square-foot tropical oasis facing Uzima Savanna. The 234,980-gallon pool features a gently sloping, zero-depth entry point similar to a natural beach, along with a 67-foot-long waterslide.  Two well known dining locations, Boma, and Jiko – The Cooking Place are located in the Jambo House.

Kidani Village

Kidani Village is home to 492 Disney Vacation Club Villas.  Samawati Springs Pool,  an exciting 128-foot waterslide and zero-depth-entry, this 4,700-square-foot, 118,138-gallon pool is the perfect place to cool off and have fun.  Sanaa, the table service dining location where you can feast on African fare while watching the animals roam the savannah is also located in Kidani Village.
