Rumors have been flying for years about the possible removal of the sorcerer’s hat and Disney confirmed yesterday that it will be removed from Hollywood Studios in early 2015. There are many (like myself) who didn’t really like the hat as it seemed to distract from the Old Hollywood feel of Hollywood Studios. However, since the hat has been in place since 2001, many people associate it with the park and are upset to see it go.
The Hat was originally part of the 100 Years of Magic Celebration, once the celebration ended, the hat remained. Disney hasn’t said what will be put in the hat’s place. With the Studio Backlot Tour and American Idol Experience already closed, and the Legend of Jack Sparrow closing soon, I’m wondering what Disney has up it’s sleeve for this park. There have been rumors flying that Star Wars will play a major role! Only time will tell.

I’m very upset with this. I’m hoping they move it to someplace else in the park. It won’t be the same without it
im happy and sad at the same time happy because it doesn’t quite fit in where it was located will be nice to have it somewhere else in the park or even at the entrance. But I’m also sad as it looks nice in photos.
