There has been much speculation regarding a possible reimagining of the Disney Wonder, and while Disney has finally revealed a bit more, we will still be left to wonder for a while longer.
Here’s what we do know:
The Disney Wonder, which first entered service in 1999, will enter drydock in Cadiz, Spain after she completes her 14 night Panama Canal cruise on September 9, 2016. The Wonder’s next scheduled sailing is a 4 night cruise departing from Galveston on November 10, 2016. What changes can we expect during its drydock?
Many have predicted that the Wonder will follow in the footsteps of her sister ship, the Disney Magic which was reimagined in 2013. Those changes included the addition of the AquaDunk slide, renovations to the kids’ clubs and nursery, changes to dining venues, stateroom enhancements, and more. Recently, many have also predicted that the Wonder will receive a Concierge Lounge as was added to the Magic this year.
Alas, Disney Cruise Line President Karl Holz is keeping virtually all plans under wraps! He did hint that we might be in for a surprise, stating, “There’s even more up our sleeves.”
