The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, which runs September 25 – November 16, 2015 at the Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida offers visitors a chance to sample cuisine and beverages from all around the globe at over 30 booths located throughout World Showcase. Whether you prefer Kielbasa and Potato Pierogis from Poland or Lamb Meatballs from New Zealand, there is something that is sure to appeal to everyone’s taste buds. However, as exciting as the cuisine from around the world may be, don’t overlook one of the most delicious delicacies from one nation in particular.
Located in the American Adventure Pavilion of World Showcase, the Hops and Barley Food Booth offers up some great eats and drinks, including Florida Grass-fed Beef Sliders with Pimento Cheese and Cambria Estates Winery Pinot Noir. However, my favorite taste at this booth has to be the New England Lobster Roll. Served in a traditional open face, hotdog style, buttered and toasted bun, the Lobster roll is loaded with chunks of fresh lobster with a light mayonnaise based dressing. While it looks small, it packs a punch of flavor and is super rich. In order to fully enjoy the taste of such a delicious treat, I suggest pairing it with one of the offered beverages from the Hops and Barley Food Booth, the La Crema Chardonnay. This lovely white wine offers a refreshing, yet bold flavor, but more importantly, the wine really brings out the sweetness of the lobster.
So, as you taste your way around the world, and perhaps stop at the American Pavilion for one of the free concerts, make your way to the American Adventure for a real taste of Americana at the Hops and Barley Food Booth.
