Adventures by Disney (ABD) has announced their 2017 itineraries, and they include a brand new Rhine River Cruise! ABD entered the river cruise market with the Danube River Cruise taking its maiden voyage this July. This itinerary has been massively popular leading to Adventures by Disney’s expansion to the Rhine River which will debut in 2017.  Here are some highlights of the eight-day/ seven-night adventure through Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands:

• Ride a toboggan, hike along a waterfall or zipline through the Black Forest.
• Visit the famous storybook Heidelberg Castle.
• Enjoy tubing, snow biking, curling and more at Germany’s first indoor ski hall.
• Explore the Alsace Region of France by canoe or on horseback.
• Get hands-on during clog painting and a cheese making demonstration in Holland.
• Bike along the Rhine River, within the German wine countryside, through towns and beyond.
• Savor unique local dining, including Swiss fondue, a French macaron cooking class, German chocolate tasting and more.

A post-cruise land package is also available in Amsterdam at the conclusion of the Rhine sailings, offering a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kinderdijk and a private farewell dinner.

Each port offers choices of activities to suit your family along with the amazing company of your Adventure Guides who travel with you throughout the cruise. On board, the AmaKristina, you will enjoy luxury family accommodations, a heated pool with a swim up bar, complimentary internet access, and a fitness center and spa. All meals and unlimited local wine, beer and soft drinks onboard are included as are all tips (including tips for the Adventure Guides which differs from land based ABDs.) Select meals off the ship are also included to provide the opportunity to enjoy regional cuisine. Adventures by Disney provides family friendly activities on board including karaoke, game and movie nights, baking class for kids, special events for Junior Adventurers and so much more.
