I know most of our articles are based on one of the Disney theme parks, restaurants or hotels. But, listen up UK – this one is especially for you, my fellow Brits!
As Disney lovers, we all know going to a Disney theme park normally means months or even years worth of saving our pennies (that would be cents to you my lovely American readers) to be able to experience the magic that Disney has to offer. What if I told you that you can shortly be able to experience that Disney Magic right here on the Queen’s turf?
We all are familiar with the musicals that Disney has like The Lion King, which is in its 16th year at the Lyceum Theatre. Soon, there will be a new king and queen in town … sorry Queen Elizabeth … flying in from Agrabar on a magic carpet. Aladdin will be opening on May 27th at the Prince Edward Theatre in London. Aladdin will be moving over from Broadway into the famous West End for a limited time. Tickets are already very popular with opening night and the first weekend already sold out!
There will be a slight change in cast when the production hits the UK, with Dean John Wilson as Aladdin, Jade Ewen as Princess Jasmine and Broadway cast member Trevor Dion Nicholas making his West End debut as Genie. Don Gallagher will play Jafar, and Peter Howe will play Iago. The production will feature many of the film’s favourite songs like “A Whole New World” and my personal favourite, “A Friend Like Me.”
Don’t delay! Get on your carpet and head over to the box office now. Tickets start from £29.50 for adults. Please be aware that due to the nature of the performance it is only suitable for guests aged 6 and above.
