If there is one tip I tell EVERYONE about taking kids to the Walt Disney World Resort, it’s to make sure you have a comfortable stroller! While there are plenty of options for Disney stroller rentals – Amusement Park Rentals stands out!
Sure, your child may have the ability to walk miles everyday and they can spend the whole day running around the zoo or bike around your neighborhood. But there is something overwhelmingly tiresome about going nonstop for several days in a row visiting Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
My oldest daughter is 6, and hasn’t needed a stroller in years. Except when we go to Walt Disney World. Since I have two children, I don’t like to have to deal with the fighting over who can sit in the stroller at the end of the night. After having a double stroller damaged during a flight, I have found that the easiest solution for our family is to rent a stroller!
Amusement Park Rentals is a great service that offers personalized service. From my very first interaction with their staff, they were professional and thorough. They meet you personally to deliver your stroller to your resort, so you schedule a time to meet them at the front lobby.
DIStracted Tip: Other services provided by Amusement Park Rentals include scooters and wheelchairs, baby equipment and even beach chairs. If you have a baby or toddler, their baby equipment includes carseats, cribs, activity/bouncy seats, wipe warmers and baby baths. They deliver to resorts, condos and vacation homes.
Delivery
I was happy to see such a bright and clearly marked van. I was waiting outside, since I was enjoying the warmth and promptly jumped up to meet the men delivering my daughter’s carriage – err … stroller!
City Mini GT
I had chosen the City Mini GT double stroller for our trip. We have used other double strollers, and this is our family’s favorite! It folds very easily, so it’s really great when you are rushing to catch that bus at the end of the night. The handle bar also adjusts, which is great for my husband and me, since we have about 9 inches of height between us. We both could simply adjust the handle bar for our own comfort with a push of a button.
I was happy to receive a complimentary case of water with my reservation! That was unexpected and very needed with the temperatures we had last week.
I was happy with the tags that came with the stroller – they had two clearly marked and weather-resistant places with my family name. City Mini GT’s are very common at Walt Disney World, so having these cards attached to the stroller helped a lot. I especially liked the card hanging from the handle bar. It was also nice to easily share the information with other guests when they asked about the service. I had more than one family ask about my stroller in the parks and I was able to flip that card from the handle bar up to share the information with that family.

Options
One thing that I found interesting with their stroller rentals was the use of the B.O.B. stroller console. This was different than other strollers I have used in the past. I really liked the zippered pouch (I kept napkins in that spot!) and the 2 deep cup holders. The cupholders are necessary if you have the refillable mug!
We also had a weather shield, but thanks to the perfect weather we had during our trip we never had to open this pouch. I wouldn’t go without this though – Florida weather is really unpredictable, and you never know when rain may come.
Reserving your rental is easy and with plenty of options they can make your stay in the Orlando area much easier for the whole family. The website is easy to navigate and the staff is very flexible. You get to pick delivery and pick up times that work for your trip.
Using Amusement Park Rentals was a great choice for our family. I look forward to working with them again in the future!

This is a great review. How do these strollers handle in the shops? Are they better left with the hubby? I have 4 kids, two are twin 2 year olds that will more than likely always be in the stroller.

In most shops, I was easily able to navigate the store with the stroller! Thanks to the ADA standards (Americans with Disability Act), racks and tables must be far enough apart for a wheelchair, so that is typically also enough room for a large stroller. Of course, keeping my girls IN the stroller was tough!
