I know that many of you are obssessed with Disney! Now raise your hands if you are convinced that you are a Princess! Well, I’m jumping around with my hands in the air! I’m truly the Princess that Disney forgot they had! At 33 years of age, you would have thought that I would have grown out of the Princess stage but it only gets worse as I get older.
I have a little something that I would like to show all the Princesses out there! Many of you may already know about the secret apartment that is tucked inside Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom. Most of you – like myself – will only dream of staying in this beautiful apartment. As we aren’t one of the chosen few who have access to this room I would like to show you around.

The suite is said to have been originally designed to be for Walt Disney and his family to stay in when visiting Florida. Unfortunately, Walt passed away before construction began for the Walt Disney World Resort and this space in the castle was left unfinished. The suite was completed in June 2007 when it was refurbished to resemble a royal bedchamber.

The suite gives many nods to Cinderella, with a glass slipper in an alcove and a fairytale pumpkin coach inlaid on the floor. Despite its regal nod to times past, the suite is very much modern in the way only Disney knows how to do. A Cinderella picture adorns the top of the fireplace which turns into an flat screen HD TV. In the den, the magic mirror also turns into a flat screen TV. Last but not least, the bathroom has the most amazing 21st century garden tub and shower.
Unfortunately, this suite cannot be reserved; however from time to time, Disney does hold sweepstakes that allow a contestant winner and up to 5 other Guests to stay in the suite. Of course, celebrities sometimes stay in the suite as part of their contract details with Disney Entertainment. Katy Perry recently was pictured eating pizza on one of the beds – so I guess being an international superstar kind of helps!
Have you been one of the lucky few to stay in the suite? If so, why not tell us about it?
