Rainforest Cafe is known as a hot spot to dine with kids when visiting Disney. Located at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort each location is always hoppin’ during lunch and dinner. But at breakfast is our quiet little secret… Until now!
Two years ago we discovered Rainforest Cafe breakfast while visiting Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort. We have since been multiple times and never regret it.
Little to No Wait
Rainforest Cafe seems to always be busy, especially during lunch and dinner. But breakfast is the quiet before the storm. We’ve never waited more than 10 minutes to be seated during the morning hours.
DIStracted Tip: Join the Landry’s Select Club to cut your wait time down to nothing with preferred seating. Landry’s Select Club members also earn rewards every time you dine at a Landry’s restaurant including T-Rex Cafe and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
Superb Service
We’ve never had bad service at any of the Rainforest Cafes and we’ve been around the block a few times. But with the busy dinner hour things can move at a snail’s pace.
Breakfast is a whole different ball game. Food is served quick, piping hot and delicious. And since it’s morning the staff is always bubbly and upbeat.
Same Great Atmosphere
Let’s be honest, no one goes to Rainforest Cafe for the cuisine. While it’s not bad, the atmosphere is the real pull.
During the morning hours, the “thunderstorms” still shake things up every 20 minutes or so. The animals will come alive to the delight of kids of all ages.
DIStracted Tip: The thunderstorms can be scary for small children. It’s best to prepare them beforehand to let them know what to expect.
Delicious Change of Pace
I know I said earlier that no one goes for the food, but that is about to change. I think we’ve tried just about every item on the breakfast menu. Granted the menu isn’t as extensive as lunch or dinner.
I adore the cranberry waffle. It’s sweet, tangy and down right amazing. The “cranberries” are actually more like sweetened Craisens, so you won’t be puckering with each bite.
My husband’s favorites are the Ozzie Omelette with everything added and the Benedict Bamba. But he truly loves the breakfast potatoes. They are crispy and full of flavor.
The only item on the menu that we haven’t been impressed by are the Breakfast Sliders. They are probably perfect for kids, but a little bland for us.
Overall, the entire family enjoys dining at Rainforest Cafe anytime, but breakfast has quickly become our favorite.
