I’m not sure if this comes to a surprise to many. When April park hours were released many questioned why Disney’s Animal Kingdom was still scheduled to close early when the nighttime shows were supposed debut during the month. Some speculated that the hours would be updated closer to late April.

Unfortunately, the April hours are correct and were a precursor to today’s (April 5, 2016) announcement. Disney Parks Blog broke the news that the Rivers of Light and the new Nighttime Magic at the Tree of Life would not becoming to life on their previously scheduled debut date of April 22, 2016. More information when the new nighttime shows will debut will be released mid to late May.
