The rumors have been swirling about the first Muppets themed restaurant taking over Toy Story’s Pizza Planet in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and today it has been officially announced! This fall the Muppets will welcome PizzeRizzo into Muppets Courtyard.
Guests will enjoy dining in this casual Italian-American restaurant surrounded by hidden whispers of Rizzo and his extended family and friends who have frequented the pizzeria over the years. The two-story PizzeRizzo will feature indoor and outdoor seating along with a “cheesy” banquet room. Guests will also be able to take five in a booth specially for Rizzo’s celebrity visitors.
My whole family loved Pizza Planet and I’m sad to see it go, but with Toy Story Land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios I understand that it just didn’t fit in the locale anymore. I hope PizzeRizzo’s will feature the same delicious pizza with the fun, family friendly atmosphere we’ve grown to love.
