I first reported that the My Magic+ system would be making a debut at Disneyland Resort in January, and we now may have dates!
DIStracted Tip: Check out my January 2015 article “Bring on the Magic! My Magic+ is coming to Disneyland Resort!“ for more information.
According to WDW News Today Disneyland will start testing the digital Fastpass+ system this summer. August 2015 to be exact! It is also being reported that the Fastpass+ system will be going international starting with Hong Kong Disneyland in 2016 with the opening of the Iron Man Experience.
The Fastpass+ system replaces the paper Fastpasses, and allows guests to schedule their Fastpasses in advance using an app, online or at one of the many koisks in the parks. Walt Disney World guests are allowed to start booking 60 days out for guests staying onsite and 30 days out for those staying offsite.
Disney hasn’t released an official statement as of yet, so keep an eye right here for more information as we receive it!
