No More Swimming with Sharks
We have all heard the rumors and now it appears that they are true. The Shark Reef at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will be closing permanently in the very near future.
WDW News Today is reporting that the popular attraction will be closing on October 2, 2016. Disney has not made an official announcement, but there are no times available after October 2nd when looking on the Walt Disney World website.
Shark Reef allows Guests to get up close with the sea life that calls the man made reef home. One of the highlights of the reef is being able to swim closely with leopard and bonnethead sharks. Guests get approximately 15 minutes to snorkel across taking in all the sites.
