It seems everyone is going crazy for Disney’s upcoming live action film Cinderella. Even shoe designers have taken their inspiration from that famous glass slipper and made their version a reality … that’s right … reality. From a young age, I know many a girl has dreamed about owning their very own glass slippers.
Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weitzman, Rene Caovilla, Nicholas Kirkwood, Paul Andrew, Jerome C. Rousseau, Salvatore Ferragamo, Alexandre Birman and Charlotte Olympia are shoe designers from around the world who were asked by Disney to create their take on the glass slipper.
While other designers (Christian Louboutin and Marc Jacobs) have tried their hands at their version of the famous shoe, these nine designers have been fully approved and are an official Disney collaboration.
The shoes were first shown off as gorgeous sketches to give people an idea of how each shoe would look. Each shoe contains that one thing that makes it look an extra bit magical … SPARKLE! Unfortunately none of the designers managed to enlist help from the fairy godmother for this task. But they did manage to enlist the help of none other than the sparkle masters themselves at Swarovski!!
The shoes will be available worldwide so don’t fret – you will be able to purchase the shoes to complete your magical transformation that will be the envy of everyone you meet.
What’s that I hear you cry? “They look nice as sketches, but what will they look like once they have been made?” Well wait no longer Princesses. I have managed to get picture of the finished versions of all the shoes … and with a Bibbity Bobbity Boo and a wave of my magic wand, here they are:
So I bet your next question is, “Well I’ve seen the sketches and I’ve seen the real deal, now where can I buy them?” Well as much as I would like to keep all these shoes to myself (being such a shoe addict) I suppose I can give up that vital bit of information to you all, so here goes …
