Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom Theme Park are always trying to maximize their time. With all of the rides, characters and attractions to experience, there isn’t always time for a sit-down meal. One great option for a quick meal with a little bit of entertainment thrown in is Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café. Tucked in between Cinderella Castle, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, Cosmic Ray’s is the largest quick-service restaurant in the Magic Kingdom, featuring two levels of indoor dining as well as a huge shaded patio area with outside seating .
The theme of Cosmic Ray’s is futuristic, with a sleek décor of geometric shapes that makes up the tables, chairs and LCD screens above each of the ordering bays. Bay 1 is our favorite, where you can order the tasty Rotisserie Chicken and Ribs, Chicken Nugget Meal, BBQ Pork or even a Chicken Sandwich. Many portions (like the Chicken Nugget Meal) are very large; perfect for sharing. I definitely feel like I am making a healthier choice when I order the Rotisserie Chicken which is served with mashed potatoes and green beans. It is a nice change from the typical park fare of burgers and fries.

Bays 2 and 3 choices include Hamburgers, Veggie Burgers, Hot Dogs, and even a Greek Salad. Desserts and drinks can be found at all of the bays. In addition, a huge fixings bar is a favorite feature for Guests, with sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and other tasty toppings. Kids’ meals include a Turkey Sandwich, PB&J Uncrustables or Chicken Nuggets. Be sure to choose the bay that serves the food you want before standing in line. This can sometimes be difficult if your family has a taste for items found in different bays. You may have to send members of your party in different directions to ensure everyone gets what they want!

DIStracted Tip: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café accepts Disney Dining Plan and counts as one Quick Service entitlement per meal. The ½ Rotisserie Chicken ½ BBQ Ribs Dinner is one of the very best values for your Quick Service credits, with a regular price of $16.19 … and it tastes pretty good too!
While Cosmic Ray’s can be an oasis from the Florida heat and a perfect place to rest and enjoy a fast meal, it is definitely not quiet. Sonny Eclipse, an animatronic alien lounge singer, entertains the crowd with his melodic melodies and corny jokes too. Be sure to grab a table in the center of the dining room for the best view of his show. Want to avoid the crowds and noise? Snag a table upstairs or head outside. Much of the outdoor seating is shaded and cooled by ceiling fans. If you are looking for some decent food in the Magic Kingdom and aren’t up to a lengthy table service meal, Cosmic Ray’s is a solid choice for dinner (or lunch) and a show.
