Adventures by Disney (ABD) has announced an entirely new way to experience Europe: its first ever river cruise down the Danube! Beginning in July 2016, families can board the brand new AmaViola, a 170-passenger ship that will be chartered by Adventures by Disney for 8-day/ 7-night journeys through Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. The activities and experiences are endless including visits to castles, scenic bike rides, pretzel and strudel-making, Mozart & Strauss concerts, guided walking tours, and so much more. On board, your family will enjoy fantastic amenities including a heated swimming pool with whirlpool and swim up bar, complementary wi-fi, a walking track, and activities specifically planned for all ages. This Adventure is truly all-inclusive with fine dining for all meals on board including unlimited local wine, beer and soft drinks, as well as select meals off the ship. In addition, all gratuities are including, including gratuities for local experts, all crew, and the Adventure Guides!

I’ve had the opportunity to experience many of the excursions on this trip during the Adventures by Disney Central Europe itinerary and am so excited to see this new trip. Traveling by river boat will add so much ease to touring multiple cities without the hassle of packing and unpacking, and the ship will be a stunning, comfortable mode of transportation through Europe. A special Holiday sailing will be offered in December 2016 which will include visits to the famous Christmas markets in Budapest and Vienna, a performance of the Vienna Boys Choir in the Hofburg Palace, gingerbread making and more.
