Disney Cruise Line sails to fantastic places – the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Alaska, the Mediterranean, and more. So it may surprise you that one of my favorite days onboard a Disney ship is a day at sea. Yes, the ports of call are amazing. But I have to admit that I love an “at sea” day. Why, you may ask? Here are the reasons I love a day at sea on Disney Cruise Line.
Senses Spa & Salon
Since you aren’t leaving the ship to venture out on a port adventure, it’s the perfect day to schedule a spa or salon appointment. Enjoy a hot stone massage or an ocean wrap, kick back with a hydrating facial, treat yourself to a mani/pedi, get your hair cut and styled.
DIStracted Tip: Many spa treatments can be booked ahead of time and it is highly recommended. Some spa treatments and all salon appointments can be made onboard in the Senses Spa & Salon.

Bingo
Who doesn’t like an opportunity to win some money or other prizes? Yes, kids can play too! But there must be an adult with them to actually claim any winnings. The bingo crew make bingo a lot of fun with music and jokes. Just wait until B11 gets called. Trust me, you’ll soon be singing and dancing along.
Mixology, Wine Tastings, and more
Adults (21 and over) can learn to make some tasty beverages in a mixology class. Disney Cruise Line also offers wine tastings, tequila tastings, whiskey tastings, cognac tastings, champagne tastings, and more. Personally, I had never tried cognac before my last cruise. I didn’t want to spend the money just in case I didn’t like it. So we tried a tasting! It was a great way to try several. And I did find out that I’m not a fan. So while your kids are enjoying the kids activities, take an hour and try something new.
Pool Time
Find a lounger and soak up some sun. Perhaps have a beverage or two. But don’t forget your sunscreen. Each of the four ships offers pools for families, pool area for adults (18+), and toddler splash areas. What is a vacation without some relaxation time?

Trivia, Games, Sing, Dance, SHOP!
Because it is a day at sea, Disney Cruise Line offers a full line-up of activities onboard. Check your Navigator for the schedule of events. It’s sure to include fun for the entire family. The gift shops onboard will be open too. Bring home that perfect souvenir for your friends and family. And of course, that perfect something for yourself too.
