Do you love mystery stories? Have you ever wanted to be Sherlock Holmes or Nancy Drew? You can live that dream on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream.
The interactive game Midship Detective Agency is very similar to the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort. This enchanted game is something that you can play alone or with your whole family. It is even complimentary! My eleven year old daughter and I love playing it because we get to enjoy the beauty of the Disney ships while being intrigued by the mystery before us. We have noticed that the Walt Disney Company spared no expense when creating these ships and have come to appreciate the exquisite detailing that we have encountered while playing the game. We never would have noticed Pepe’s tiny cabin door without being directed to it on the Disney Fantasy or seen all of the spectacular paintings that Disney Cruise Line hung up for our enjoyment if we had not played this fascinating game.
To get started go to the self serve kiosk to sign up and pick out which one of the games you will play. Right now you can play the case of the missing puppies or the case of the stolen artwork on both ships. On the Disney Fantasy you can also play the case of the stolen show starring the Muppets. Once you have signed up take your special game piece to the special circle and hold the card up in front of the artwork. Instantly the artwork will come to life and tell you where to go for the next clue. This game takes you around the ship and lets you delight in the various pieces of artwork which come to life right before your eyes. Your game card which is set up like a casebook keeps track of where you have been and which clues you have discovered. While playing you will find yourself going to every deck of the ship. Taking the stairs to every deck is a great way to exercise off the calories that you ate the night before or you can take the more leisurely approach by taking the elevator to each deck. One of the best parts is that you can play all afternoon or for the duration of the whole cruise. This means that you can get something to eat, do one of the many activities on board or even take a swim before finishing the game.
My family loved it so much that we played all available cases during the duration of our cruise.
