We all sit on pins and needles anxiously awaiting the release of the 2018 Walt Disney World travel packages. At least that’s how those of us in the travel industry feel. Typically these packages become available in mid to late June. Honestly, I look for them to be released somewhere between June 19-26. Fingers crossed.
One thing that always accompanies the new Walt Disney World travel packages are the updated Disney Dining Plans. The 2017 Disney Dining Plan saw several changes from the previous year’s plan. Most notably was the increase from one (1) snack credit to two (2) snack credits. This year the rumors have started and the buzz is that Disney will be adding alcohol, yes, you heard me correctly, ALCOHOL, to the Disney Dining Plan packages!
Guests will now be able to enjoy a choice of either one speciality non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage (only for guests age 21+) to accompany each meal.
A single serving non-alcoholic beverage includes items such as:
- Artisanal Milkshakes
- Fresh Smoothies
- Premium Hot chocolates
- Soda, Coffee, or Tea
A single serving alcoholic beverage includes items such as:
- Beer or Cider
- Wine or Sangria
- Mixed Drinks e.g. Gin & Tonic and Specialty Cocktails
We have no way to confirm or deny whether or not this is fact or fiction. At this time this is simply a rumor. Stay tuned to Magical DIStractions as we will keep you up to date on the latest information pertaining to this news.
