The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida took advantage of the popularity of Frozen months ago with all sorts of Frozen “Summer Fun” events, many of which continued through the fall and winter seasons. Meanwhile, there were only a few signs of Frozen at the West Coast Parks: a meet-n-greet with Anna and Elsa in Fantasyland and their appearance on pre-parade floats, along with Anna & Elsa’s Boutique and Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink in Downtown Disney.
That all changes today! Disney California Adventure Park celebrates the opening of “Frozen Fun” featuring all new experiences with your favorite friends from Frozen.
The Muppet Vision 3D theater in Hollywood Land has been transformed and will now house “For the First Time in Forever – A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration,” a comedic retelling of the unique history of Arendelle filled with sing-along moments from Frozen.
Also in Hollywood Land, Stage 17 will host Olaf’s Snow Fest. Guests will enjoy a winter wonderland straight out of Arendelle. A giant snow play area, live music and delicious treats will make this a wonderful spot for making memories. Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post is just outside where you can pick up all the latest and greatest Frozen merchandise.
Anna and Elsa have made the move from Disneyland Park to California Adventure for Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome. Meet the sisters at their new location inside of the Disney Animation attraction and take advantage of those special photo ops. Also inside Animation Academy, join a Disney artist and learn to draw your very own Olaf or Marshmallow.
Each evening you can head back to Hollywood Land for “Freeze the Night! A Family Dance Party.” Watch the temperature drop on the giant thermometer as you enjoy music and dancing fit for the entire family.
Over at Disneyland Park The Royal Theatre’s resident story tellers will now present a fast paced retelling of the Frozen tale. The Storyland Canal Boats also have a new addition. Head over to Fantasyland for the ride where you will see miniature versions of Arendelle, Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Elsa’s Ice Palace.
Along with all the new fun beginning today, Anna and Elsa will continue to make their pre-parade appearance before Mickey’s Soundsational Parade and Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink will remain open until February 22, 2015. I hope you’ll enjoy all the new “Frozen Fun” at the Disneyland Resort. As always, feel free to contact me to help you plan and book your next magical adventure!
