Many people travel with their pets and sometimes not being able to bring those family members with can break the deal. Unfortunately Disneyland Resort hotels are not pet friendly, BUT there are many pet friendly hotels located close to Disneyland Resort. The rules vary for these hotels, but most of them do not allow pets to be left in the hotel while Guests go to the parks. But never fear, Disneyland Resort has an option for your furry friends!
The Disneyland Resort Kennel Club is one of Disneyland Resort’s best kept secrets and is located right by the entrance to Disneyland Park. For just $20 per pet, your furbaby can hang out at the Disneyland Resort kennels for the day while you are in the parks.
The kennels open about 30 minutes before park opening and close 30 minutes after the latest park closing. It is all on a first-come, first-served basis, so the kennels may close early depending on occupancy. They are limited on kennels that will accommodate larger dogs, so it is recommended to get there early. Guests are able to bring toys, blankets and other items that may provide comfort to their pets.
Kennel attendants are not allowed to handle the animals, so Guests are responsible for moving their pets in and out of the kennels. All pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when out of the kennel. Due to the restrictions on the attendants, it is suggested that Guests visit their animals a minimum of every 4 hours to take them for a potty walk. There is an exercise yard available adjacent to the kennels.
The Disneyland Resort Kennel Club attendants are also not able to feed the animals while in their care. Guests are welcome to bring food and leave a dish full of food in their pet’s kennel, or to feed them when they visit, but attendants are not allowed to monitor their food. The kennel does provide a water dish and the attendants will monitor the water level to ensure pets have water. If for some reason the attendants can’t get to the water dish, they will call and tell the Guest.
Keep in mind the Disneyland Resort Kennel Club is only available for daycare and does not provide overnight boarding.
