Located on the west coast of O’ahu, Ko Olina has always been known as sparkling cove to Hawaiians. Makahiki – The Bounty of the Islands
Named after the annual Hawaiian festival that celebrates the harvest, Makahiki is a feast for your senses. Dine among colorful murals created by local artists while enjoying glorious views of lush tropical foliage.
“Aunty’s Breakfast Celebration” – Join some of your favorite Disney Characters for “Aunty’s Breakfast Celebration at the Makahiki”! Hosted by Aunty every Tuesday thru Sunday, this family-friendly buffet is the perfect way to start your day and includes such breakfast favorites as island fruits, house-baked pastries, a carving station, Island-inspired offerings and daily specialties.
Regular breakfast buffet or ala carte menu available every Monday.
Dinner (menu)
The casual dinner buffet includes fresh local products and chef-inspired dishes.

Named after the ‘ama’ama fish – a tasty local mullet fish frequent to Hawaiian waters, Aulani’s signature restaurant features an open-aired seating section with amazing views and celebrates not only the delectable fish but also the many fishing settlements along the leeward coast dating back to the 12th century.

An open air, beachside lounge that resembles a fisherman’s seaside shack and serves a variety of favorite drinks and Hawaiian-inspired appetizers.

- Lava Shack – Get a quick snack or try a Hawaiian plate lunch. Choose from entrees like cold fried chicken, cured meats, cheeses and chilled miso-glazed salmon. Lava Shack features a refillable mug station. Now serving soft serve frozen yogurt.
- Papalua Shave Ice – Cool off poolside with fruity and refreshing shave ice. Choose from a variety of tropical flavors.
- Mama’s Snack Stop – Located next to Papalua Shave Ice in the Waikolohe Valley, Mama’s Snack Stop serves poolside snacks featuring mouthwatering hot dogs, chicken strips, and more. The menu includes a choice of bread, sauce, and the type of sausage, including All-beef Hot dog, Hawaiian Winner, Portuguese sausage, or a Buffalo-Ranch Fried Chicken Strip dog.
- Ulu Cafe – Savor great food and scenic surroundings at this poolside venue that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner—including convenient grab-and-go selections. Order carryout meals to enjoy at the pool, or dine on the outdoor patio and behold beautiful ocean views.
- Little ‘Opihi’s – Satisfy your appetite with grab-and-go selections at Little ‘Opihi’s, located at the beach beside Makiki Joe’s. Menu options include sandwiches, salads, a California roll, ice cream and fresh fruit. A keiki (children’s) menu is also available.
- Wailana Pool Bar & Lounge – satisfy your appetite with local, Hawaiian cuisine and familiar favorites like pizza, wraps, burgers and salad. A full bar offers an array of refreshing options—including specialty cocktails, wine, beer, sodas, tea and more.
Transportation
The primary forms of transportation used in O’ahu are:
- Rentals: Cars, mopeds and motorcycles are all available to rent if you wish to explore O’ahu on your own. If you want to have a rental car during your stay, it’s best to reserve a car in advance at the Honolulu International Airport.
- Taxi: Taxis are a great way to get around town. Taxi stands are located at most malls, in the business district or at the airport. You can also call to have a taxi pick you up.
- The Bus: Known as TheBus, this public transportation option offers extensive routes and destinations, with special visitor passes for multiple day use. The nearest bus stop is 1 mile from Aulani.
- Trolley: While its coverage is not as extensive as the Bus, the trolley does go to the most popular tourist destinations and offers special tickets with unlimited rides over a number of days.

With clear skies and warm temperatures, Hawai’i boasts some of the best weather in the world. Keep in mind, however, that weather conditions can vary depending on which side of the island you are visiting and at what altitude, with temperatures dropping the higher up you travel into the mountains.
