According to the Orlando Sentinel Walt Disney World will no longer be handing out physical Disability Access Service (DAS) cards to disabled guests. Instead, starting Thursday, April 30, 2015 when guests arrive at guest relations their disability access service “card” will be attached to their MagicBand or park ticket for those without MagicBands.
Guests are currently given a paper DAS card, and Cast Members write return times by hand at each attraction.
Once the guest who needs the disability access service is all set up through guest relations Attraction Cast Members will scan their MagicBand to give them a return time. Disney has stated that there are no other changes coming to the service at this time.
