When I first heard about Disney’s Magical Express airport transfer service I envisioned a stuffy bus packed with overtired families crammed like sardines into an outdated can. I could not have been more wrong if I tried.
We had been traveling since 6 AM. On arrival to the airport we realized our flight had been cancelled. The flight I and my husband had triple… no QUADRUPLE checked and confirmed at 530 AM. When I inquired about a non-stop (which we were supposed to be on) the nice Jetblue attendant informed me those were sold out and unless I wanted to fly after 5pm a stop over in Newark would unfortunately be in my future. Sold out you say? No kidding. That’s why my flight was booked months ago!
After I got over my fuming I decided there were two options. I could allow this to ruin my vacation or be positive, after all we were still getting to your hotel by check-in!
We decided to use the luggage delivery service (which went smoothly!) So we had our strollers and carry-ons when we arrived at the Disney Magical Express podium. We were greeted in true Disney style by exuberant cast members. We waited 5 minutes at most and were directed to our bus.
Our friendly driver helped us store our items under the bus and we climbed aboard. What awaited us was an air conditioned spacious motor coach with comfortable seats and televisions for the welcome videos that would come on soon.
This really helped us relax after a long day of lugging items and children around airports and rushing to make connections. We were able to take the short bus ride to gather our wits and get in a vacation state of mind. My husband has decided the days of dealing with car rental counters are over! After the Disney promos and welcomes, classic cartoons came on. I slightly wished we hadn’t of been the first stop so we could watch more! Some people like to call these videos “propaganda”. To which I reply- Pish Posh, Play on videos of magical whimsical excitement, play on.

We LOVE the Magical Express! It’s one of the biggest perks of flying into MCO. I could save money flying somewhere else, but then deal with a car rental and fighting traffic? NO THANKS! I’ve used ME 3 times now and I am spoiled!
