I have received free products in order to host a Disney Side @ Home Celebration! The opinions expressed here are my own.
Thanks to my friend Lisa, I applied to host a #DisneySide @Home Celebration party a few months ago. I was so excited when I found out that I was chosen to host a Preschool Princess party! Since I have 6- and 3-year old daughters at home, this worked out PERFECTLY. My girls love Sofia and all things Princess.
I quickly looked at my calendar and realized- OOPS! January and February would be packed full! The only date that would work for my family would be January 24. I just hoped that all the pixie dust in the world would help my package arrive in time to host a party so quickly. I stalked the UPS website to see when my kit would arrive and wouldn’t you know it – it was scheduled to arrive on January 23. Hakuna Matata, my friends! We could party like princesses on January 24.
My husband was a huge help on the day of the party! He set up a slide show of pictures from our Walt Disney World trips to play while people were there. It was so neat to see all our memories flashing on the screen.
I let my girls set up the table with the party favors! They were so excited to see all the fun things that their friends would get to take home from the party.
I decided to create a photo booth area for the kids to take pictures. This was a lot of fun, the moms got to take pictures of their kids and since one of the party favors was HP photo paper, the moms would be able to print their pictures at home!
My girls testing out the photo booth area!
I set up a few stations around the room. I used the Sofia placemats to line this table so we could give princess manicures!
I kept the food set up pretty simple! These paper Sofia bowls were a little small, but good to hold some chocolate cereal mix. I also served popcorn, a fruit tray and sausage balls.
There were a few toys that were sent in my party kit, but I decided to buy some extra gifts to give as my own door prizes to the kids. These were all purchased at the Dollar Tree!
I have a friend who has a home bakery and she is very talented at decorating cakes. I asked if I gave her the Mickey head cake pan and cake mix that came in my kit would she make the cake for the party. She was more than happy to help me out! Of course, I thought I had a better picture, but luckily, my husband caught it before I actually cut the cake.
The Duff Goldman by Gartner Studios cake mix was a tie-dye mix. It tasted really good and the colors were very bright. The kids loved it!
And here are some pictures from the party! It was so much fun. Everyone had a great time. Can you spy all the different princesses we had attend this party? Some of the parents even did the “DisneyBound” thing!
I cannot express the gratitude that I have in my heart about getting the chance to host this #DisneySide party. It was so much fun to have so many of my friends and their children in my home sharing my love of Disney! The amazing items sent to me helped create some amazing memories with my girls. Showing our #DisneySide has never been so easy! Thank you so much Disney Parks team & MomSelect.
