It happens to the best of us. We plan out these amazing Walt Disney World vacations and plan all the perfect Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) times or FastPass+ selection times. And then something happens and all of our well laid plans are thrown right out the window! Or maybe, just maybe you decided to book your trip last minute and there is just nothing on your “must-do” list available! Well, here’s my advice: Just keep checking!
It’s not always a guarantee- but you may find that while you are obsessing over the timing of your vacation, other people are also obsessing and reworking their itineraries! Here are some DIStracted Tips as you are trying to finalize your Walt Disney World Resort vacation:
- Guests sometimes wait until the last minute to cancel their trips- which is usually about 30 days from check-in for Package Deals. So don’t be surprised if you start seeing some fan-favorite dining reservation times open up somewhere between 40-30 days out from your arrival date, as people decide to finally cancel those Advanced Dining Reservations they were so hopeful to keep.
- While the system does try and stop people from making multiple reservations for Table Service reservations, that doesn’t stop people from being sneaky. So, you may find that searching just DAYS before you arrive you can change up your ADRs.
- The same can be said for making FastPass+ changes. I have found that sometimes even while in a park, on the My Disney Experience App, I could change a time for a popular FastPass+ selection for my party.
- Check with your Concierge Desk at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. It doesn’t matter if you are staying Value, Moderate, Deluxe or Disney Vacation Club– there is a Concierge Desk with a Cast Member ready to help make give you a little dose of Pixie Dust!
As with anything though- don’t give up hope that you will have a magical vacation! It’s still Walt Disney World, after all! Perhaps the most magical moment of all will come when you are least expecting it to happen.
