Raglan Road kicked off their 10 year anniversary with the Mighty Festival which occurred March 13-17, 2015. During that Festival Chef Kevin Dundon performed a live cooking demonstration featuring some amazing recipes (that I personally can’t wait to try!). Coquille St. Jacques (Scallops in the ½ shell with Pomme puree and Mornay Gratin Sterling), Duet of Tomato Soup and Champagne Splashed Oyster, Roast Rack of Spring Lamb (Served with Irish vegetable Consommé), and Pimms Knickerbocker Glory (Topped with Vanilla Mousse and cucumber and melon foam), were some of the dishes served, along with printouts of the recipes!
In honor of the 10 year anniversary, Raglan Road is also hosting a “Master Chef Competition“. Amateur chefs from the United States are encouraged to enter this competition by submitting a 2 minute, 30 second video showcasing an appetizer, entrée, and a dessert that is befitting of the Raglan Road 10 year anniversary menu! Entries need to be submitted no later than April 21, 2015.
Five (5) finalists will be announced on April 28th. Those finalists will fly to Ireland on May 21-May 26, 2015 (all expenses paid – ** you must be able to fly in and out of Orlando airport) where they will stay at Chef Dundon’s resort and cooking school, Dunbrody Country House Hotel in Southwest Ireland. Chef Dundon will work with each of the finalists to perfect their cooking technique. Following that, on October 20, 2015, each of the finalists will cook a dish chosen by Chef Dundon at a private 10 year anniversary dinner at Raglan Road!
(Guests who enter must be 21 years of age or older, and must have a valid, up to date passport for travel to Ireland.)
