When most people think of Epcot eateries, they immediately think of the amazing restaurants in World Showcase. However, there are several counter service restaurants in Future World that are worth checking out. One of those is Electric Umbrella. Located in the Innoventions courtyard, this large restaurant offers great food in a family friendly setting.
Electric Umbrella, one of the counter service restaurants in Epcot’s Future World, has a menu that is sure to please everyone in your group. They offer a French Dip Burger, Angus Bacon Burger, Sausage and Pepper Sandwich and, a Disney park staple, Chicken Breast Nuggets. If you are eating on the healthy side, choose the Energy Salad with Roasted Nuts. For Guests wanting vegetarian options, the menu includes Veggie Naan Wich and Vegetarian Flatbread. Kids’ meal menus are available as well.
Our group of four each ordered something different. My son chose the 1/3 lb. Angus Bacon Cheeseburger, minus the cheese, with a side of fries.
The French Dip Burger was my husband’s selection. 1/3 lb Angus Burger, Brisket, Crispy Onions, and Muenster Cheese with choice of Grapes or French Fries.
Our daughter, not a vegetarian, decided to order the Vegetarian Flatbread. Flatbread with Tomato Pesto topped with Mushrooms, Feta Cheese, and Arugula.
I went with the classic chicken breast nuggets with a side of fries.
The drinks at the Electric Umbrella are self serve and there are drink stations on each side of the order area. Guests will find assorted condiments and cutlery in a station located to the left of the ordering area.
At the Electric Umbrella, Guests have the choice of sitting inside or outside. Both areas have ample seating but during the warmer months, the indoor seating fills up quicker than that outdoors. We were visiting during the month of June and it was quite hot out so we were happy that we were able to find a table indoors.
After finishing off our entrees, we dug into the desserts of chocolate cupcakes and strawberry swirl cheesecake. The cheesecake is a fan favorite and was mentioned in my article, Where in Walt Disney World Can I Find? The Counter Service Parks Edition.
All of us were happy with our meal choices and that we were able to get a seat looking out into the Innoventions Plaza. We were able to enjoy our food and people watch at the same time. This was not our first time eating at Electric Umbrella and just like in the past, the food was hot, fresh and satisfying. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back again next trip!
