This past summer I stayed at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower.  This Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort has the beautiful Bay Cove Pool, a zero entry pool near Bay Lake.  The pool area is exclusive to Guests staying at Bay Lake Tower and DVC members.  Bay Cove Pool offers a 148-foot-long water slide and activities for kids during the day.  Conveniently located near the pool, Cove Bar serves specialty cocktails, beer, wine, wraps, and salads. Who doesn’t enjoy a poolside beverage?

Our family usually tries to have at least one afternoon to enjoy the Disney resort we are staying in.  As Disney Vacation Club members, we have stayed at several of the DVC resorts at Walt Disney World. Part of enjoying our resort stay is hanging out and enjoying a poolside beverage.

For me, part of the poolside experience includes trying a frosty beverage. You have to stay cool in that hot summer weather, right?

The beverage menu has a large selection of beer, including lagers, ales, and IPAs.  Sangria and wine is also available along with non-alcoholic choices.  Cocktails are offered on the rocks as well as frozen.

I decided to try the Sunken Treasure.  While I am not a fan of coconut and this beverage is made with Malibu Coconut Rum, the rest of the drink sounded great.  Unsure how “coconutty” the Sunken Treasure would be, my husband (who was nicely taking care of my order) asked the bartender if he could substitute regular rum.  No problem!  As a result, the drink was very refreshing and I was happy with my choice.  It was a very refreshing summer beverage.

Cove Bar has tables and chairs under cover as well as bar seating so guests can enjoy their beverages without getting roasted by the sun.  It was a lovely way to spend a little time at this beautiful pool and soak in the atmosphere.
