With the news that Captain EO is ending and Soarin’ is going down for a rehab, it really comes as no surprise that the tiers for Epcot’s FastPass+ system have changed. Guests that will be traveling to Walt Disney World starting in January will have some new options for their Tier 1 and Tier 2 choices during their day at Epcot.
This means that the new Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival will NOT have a Fastpass+ option. This seems odd, considering Captain EO was already set up with the system, but perhaps a FP+ option will come when they can analyze the crowds to the new attraction.
Considering there aren’t many attractions on the FP+ list at Epcot, I would have liked to see this Tier system retired. However, knowing that Soarin’ will remain popular when it returns and the new Frozen Ever After ride will make it’s debut sometimes in early 2016, it’s not shocking that they kept the Tiers.
What do you think of these changes to the FastPass+ selections? The real question will be- Will Mission:SPACE stay Tier 1 when Soarin’ and Frozen Ever After make their reappearances in 2016?
