Are you counting down the days to Star Wars: The Last Jedi? In typical Disney style they have found a way to extend the excitement. Guests can purchase tickets to attend an EPIC one night only event (December 17, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. – midnight), Star Wars Galactic Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Star Wars Galactic Nights at Hollywood Studios
Recently I attended a special media event to hear more about Star Wars Galactic Nights. As a huge Star Wars fan this was a dream come true!
As a Star Wars fan himself, Warwick Davis will be hosting the special ticketed event and just might have some surprise announcements for guests.
Exclusive Behind the Scenes Panel Discussion
Those attending Galactic Nights will have a chance to attend a panel hosted by David Collins. During this special panel Collins will give an immersive look at Star Wars – Galaxy Edge.
A celebrated group of Walt Disney Immagineers including Scott Trowbridge, Robin Reardon, Chris Beatty and Doug Chiang will show attendees what goes into bringing the Star Wars world to life for park Guests enjoyment.
Special Entertainment
For one night only, Tower of Terror will get an awe inspiring projection show – Star Wars: Galactic Destinations. Using advance technology these high definition projections will transform the Hollywood Tower Hotel featuring destinations from through out the Star Wars Saga.
Tasty Treats
What’s a Disney special event without stunning and mouthwatering goodies? I was able to try out a few of the exclusive treats that will be available during Galactic Nights and I was just wow’d.
Don’t miss out on the Ribeye Steak Puff stuffed with Coffee-rubbed shaved ribeye, toma cheese, caramelized onions, and horseradish. Or the Crab Duo this Blue Fin crab profiterole is served with a wasabi-dipped Snow crab claw, wakame salad and a vegetable slaw.
To satisfy that sweet tooth the dueling light saber churros never miss their mark.
But the stars of the show – Star Wars themed mini eclair trio. Featuring three flavors each with their own unique theme. Vanilla has everyone’s favorite little droid, BB-8. Chocolate shows the way of the Darkside with an edible light saber. Now, the coffee eclair was just pure scrumptious! The official theme is “rocks from Tatoonie”, but I think it’s a perfectly hairy Chewbacca!
And wash it all down with a Jettison Juice. Served with a Death Star cube the Jettison Juice features Odwalla lemonade and watermelon and is absolutely yummy!

New Scenes from The Last Jedi
Surrounded by everything Star Wars is the perfect time to take a ride aboard a starspeeder 1000! On November 17, 2017 Disney Parks debuted the newest adventures on Star Tours – The Adventure Continues.
The newest sequences include opening scenes with Kylo Ren and the First Order Stormtroopers and transmissions from Maz Kanata and Poe Dameron.
While trying to escape General Hux, Guests now get to visit the new planet of Crait from The Last Jedi. But the BIG surprise comes when the starspeeder 1000 travels to the outer rim of the galaxy and lands on the new planet of Batuu.
This remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but its prominence was bypassed by the rise of hyperspace travel. Now home to those who prefer to stay out of the mainstream, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders and adventurers traveling between the frontier and uncharted space. It’s also a convenient safe haven for those intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order. While Batuu may be new to us, it is clearly already familiar to many characters from the Star Wars saga as a stepping off point for epic adventures. ~ Disney Parks Blog
In 2019 Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will get the chance to experience Batuu for themselves when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at both parks!
