School is back in session, and life is getting busy. Have you done anything fun for your family lately? I am talking about something that involves laughter and frivolity. When life gets stressful for us, I know it is time for some Everyday DIStractions! Today’s DIStraction is brought to you by the MUPPETS!

We had a great time with this one…it was pure fun from start to finish.
To begin the movie night fun, we festooned our dining room from top to bottom with decorations we found around the house and at our local dollar store. The “party room” looked wild and wacky, just like the Muppets!
After oohing and ahhing over the cool decorations, we moved on to the carefully chosen menu. We feasted on Swedish (Chef) Meatballs, Noodles, and It’s Not Easy Being Green veggies for dinner! You can find an absolutely wonderful recipe for the meatballs here.
Moving on from the delicious dinner, our dessert was a masterpiece! This treat was made by the friends who joined us. This Rainbow Connection cake was as tasty as it is beautiful. You can find a recipe variation of this fabulous cake here.

To finish off this crazy night, after dinner was finished and our bellies were full, we all settled in the living room for the zaniest talent show around. Muppet worthy talents displayed were: Waca-Waca joke telling, Gonzo on the drums, Pirate sing alongs, dancing, a bit of monkeying around like King Louie, and lab experiments with Beeker!
To be sure, The Muppets is one of my all-time favorite Disney Movies. I loved bringing the experience to life in a whole new way for my family and friends.
