Do you know the best way to get a discount and onboard credit on a Disney Cruise? Take a voyage on Disney Cruise Line and RESERVE ANOTHER CRUISE ONBOARD! Here’s everything you need to know about the onboard booking offer!
What is the discount?
Future cruises booked onboard during your current sailing will receive a 10% discount off the current published cruise fare for most cabins (Sadly, the onboard booking offer discount is not available for concierge cabins.)
What is the On Board Credit?
Disney Cruise Line provides a $200 onboard credit for cruises of 7 nights or longer and $100 for cruises of 3-6 nights.
What if I don’t know where or when I want to cruise next? (What exactly is a “placeholder”?)
Disney Cruise Line is confident you will want to sail on DCL again, so you can take advantage of this offer even if you are not quite sure of the details of your next cruise. Guests simply pay $250 per cabin as a “placeholder.” You have 24 months to sail from the time of paying for this placeholder. When you are ready to select your cruise, contact your travel agent or DCL to select your sailing and cabin. You will have $250 applied towards the 10% deposit required to confirm your reservation.
What deposit is required?
Cruises of 7 nights or longer booked with this offer only require a 10% deposit! That is half the usual 20% deposit which means more time to save for your cruise. (The reduced deposit is not available for concierge cabins.)
How many cabins can I book?
Each household sailing may book two cabins on one future cruise under this offer.
Where do I book this once onboard?
Stop by the Onboard Sales Desk on deck 4 on all ships. You can sit down with a sales agent and select your specific cruise and cabin or book a placeholder. If there is a wait or nobody is staffing the desk, feel free to fill out a card that will be on the desk. You can designate your cruise or simply write “placeholder” on the card, and they will take care of you. If you are already using a travel agent, be sure to note that with your booking as well.
What are the restrictions?
This offer is not combinable with any other special offers or discounts or special cabin categories (including Florida resident, Military, and IGT/ OGT/VGT “guarantee” discounts). It is also not combinable with the Disney Visa $50 onboard beverage credit offer.
When are the black out dates?
Guests booked on the following sailings will receive the onboard credit and reduced deposit but will not receive the 10% discount.

Disney Fantasy: 11/19, 12/24, 12/31
Disney Dream: 7/1, 11/21, 11/25, 12/22, 12/26, 12/30

What if I have to change, cancel or don’t cruise within 24 months?
If you selected a specific cruise, you can change the cabin and sailing date. You can also add or change passengers (as long as one original adult guest remains on the reservation.) You will be responsible for any additional required deposit at the time of that change. If the new sailing date is beyond 24 months from the time you initially booked, you will no longer receive the benefits.
If you booked a placeholder and do not select any cruise within 24 months, you will no longer be eligible for these benefits but will maintain a credit of $250 towards a future cruise. You can cancel this placeholder reservation, and DCL will refund the $250. If you selected a cruise at any point, you may cancel within the cruise’s cancellation dates and policy. (Deposits on concierge cabins are non-refundable but may be moved to another cabin category or sailing date.)

Think the 2 per household only applies when 2 adults are in the cabin.
Great info. One note: 10% reduced deposit is only good on 7 night or longer sailings. Shorter sailings still pay the 20% deposit.
Thanks, Dawn I clarified that part of the post!
