The Disney Dream is heading into dry dock this October and will emerge with several exciting new enhancements that may very well make it the shining star of the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
First, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, the speciality salon for kids ages 3-12 will be added on Deck 5 for princess makeovers. On Pirate Night, the boutique becomes the Pirate League for guests 3 and up to transform into a swashbuckling pirate!
The Dream’s Oceaneer Club for kids 3-12 will be adding Star Wars: Millenium Falcon, a play area where kids can join the Rebel Alliance to drive the space vehicle, participate in other Star Wars-themed crafts, and activities, or watch episodes of the Disney XD animated series, “Star Wars Rebels.” Perhaps the biggest surprise is the addition of the Jedi Training Academy (a popular attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios)! Kids will learn lightsaber moves and battle the evil Darth Vader!
The Oceaneer Club will also add a high-tech space based on the Disney Infinity game with virtual and immersive activities and exclusive Disney Cruise Line content that kids can continue to enjoy when playing Disney Infinity at home!
The Dream will add a concept entirely new to Disney Cruise Line: Venellope’s Sweets & Treats, based on the Sugar Rush race car game from “Wreck-It-Ralph.” Venellope’s Sweets & Treats will feature an assortment of candy, handmade gelato and ice cream and more, available for purchase.
Personally, I am most excited about the addition of Satellite Falls to the Dream’s Deck 13! This is my favorite adult-only escape on the Fantasy, and it will now be featured on the Dream complete with the circular splash pool with falling rain curtain, and loungers both in the sun or under a shady canopy.
These fabulous new features will debut on the Dream’s October 26, 2015 4 Night Bahamian Cruise! As if you needed another reason to cruise… !
