Welcome back to my overview of FastPass+ and the Walt Disney World Theme Parks! Did you check out the past posts on Magic Kingdom and Epcot? Well, welcome to my coverage of Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Hollywood Studios has a similar set-up with the FastPass+ tiers as does Epcot. However, Hollywood Studios offers many more exciting rides for guests to enjoy! Of course, you have to deal with the fact that you can only pick 1 FastPass+ from Tier 1 and the other 2 have to come from Tier 2. This can get kind of tricky, considering that there are so many amazing thrill rides at this park!

Tier 1

• Toy Story Midway Mania
• Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
• Fantasmic!
• Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
• The Great Movie Ride

If you have smaller kids, then you must pick Toy Story Mania as your Tier 1 selection! This is a ride that is great for the whole family and the lines can easily become 2 or 3 hours long. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a MUST-DO for anyone who loves roller coasters. This indoor ride boasts high speeds and rocking music. I personally think that The Great Movie Ride, while being a fun ride is not at the top of my list for Fastpass.

DIStracted Tips:

• If you are interested in guaranteeing a seating for Fantasmic! then consider booking a Fantasmic Dinner Package.
• Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a great place to use the Single Rider Lines if there is only one person in your group ready to enjoy a coaster.

Tier 2

• Tower of Terror
• Star Tours
• Voyage of the Little Mermaid
• For the First Time in Forever: A “Frozen” Sing-Along Celebration
• MuppetVision 3D
• Disney Junior – Live on Stage
• Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
• Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show

Of this list, it really comes down to family preference. My princesses love seeing The Little Mermaid and Disney Junior shows. Not to mention any chance of seeing Elsa and Anna (During the For the First Time in Forever: A “Frozen” Sing-Along Celebration) is important to many families visiting Walt Disney World right now! My husband and I are HUGE Star Wars fans, so Star Tours always makes our short list! Many Guests enjoy the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! and the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show as well.

Whatever you decide – don’t forget you can pick 1 more FastPass+ selection at a time after you have used your initial 3 selections. To gain your 4th FastPass+ selection, look for these kiosks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park!

DIStracted Tip: Guests with Park Hopper Tickets are able to make selections at a kiosk in the Park to which they “hop” during the day. So, if you start the day in Magic Kingdom and “hop” to Hollywood Studios, you will want to find these kiosks to make FastPass+ selections once you arrive!
