It’s not a secret that there’s a TON of things to do at the Walt Disney World Resort beyond the theme parks. Shopping, golfing, parasailing, there are activities for all to enjoy! One of our favorite things to do is to visit the resorts around Walt Disney World – usually on our way to a meal! Exploring the many resorts around Walt Disney World is a great way to discover new restaurants, awesome detailing and themes, and possibly the site of your next vacation stay!
Below are a few of our favorite resorts to visit while we are at the Walt Disney World Resort:
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort – Jambo House & Kidani Village
OF COURSE the Animal Kingdom Lodge was going to be on this list! This resort is home to gorgeous architecture inside and out, awesome restaurants (we love Boma for breakfast!), and the main event: the animals on the savanna.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort
The resort features fun theming (you can practice your old-school dance moves to the Boardwalk’s area music!) throughout its lobby and lounge. However, the big attraction here for us is the BoardWalk itself – home to adorable turn-of-the-century Atlantic City-style architecture, fun nightlife options, and great restaurant options!
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside & French Quarter
These two sister resorts are so inviting to leisurely stroll through, down cobblestone streets and past Southern-style mansions. Enjoy beautiful theming, fun food options (beignets!) – all easily accessible via a boat ride from Disney Springs!
