Walt Disney World Resort is gearing up for the 20th annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival presented by Chase and foodies are positively giddy with today’s news! Not only will Guests experience the delights of over 30 global marketplaces throughout the World Showcase, they will get to sample dishes in Future World as well.
What will will see with the new expansion?
Artistry of Wine & Cheese
Along the pathway to Future World West Guests will sample a cheese platter, to be paired with wine, at the Cheese Studio. The cheese will be served on an artist palate and sampled underneath pergolas covered in grape vines. Completing the Napa Valley immersion is the Wine Studio which will feature wines on tap. Yes, on tap. Stealing away from tradition, this innovative Studio will house the wines in a keg. This will save bottles, corks, and packaging of 26 bottles per keg.
Located near the Epcot Character Spot, Next Eats will feature two marketplaces inspired by the hit ABC show, “The Chew”. Sustainable Chew will feature dishes inspired by co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz. The Chew Lab is taking innovation to the next level, pairing food science and culinary tech to inspire dishes such as Liquid Nitro Chocolate Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey Caramel.
The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is jam packed with experiences that are included with theme park admission such as: Eat to the Beat Concert Series, Ocean Spray Cranberry Bog, Marketplace Discovery Passport, book signings and attractions. However, there are many, many more events that Guests may attend for a fee.
We found out today that our favorite “The Chew” personalities will host a Rockin’ Burger Block Party. The specialty served? Well, burgers and sliders of course! Two block parties have been scheduled for September 25 and November 6.
The popular gourmet tasting Party for the Senses will return for 2015. We have learned that this year Epcot will host the Yelloween Masquerade Party for the Senses. Guests will be encouraged to dress in yellow and black, while sipping craft beers, champagne, and specialty cocktails.
Additional premium events will include: Mexican Tequila Lunch, Japanese Craft Beer Tasting, French Family Meal Traditions and the Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining.
DIStracted Tip: All premium events will be open for booking on July 30, 2015. Guests should all 407/WDW-FEST (939-3378) or visit the official website for more information. Please note that these events are an additional cost. Valid theme park admission is required.
