The newest LEGO display “LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Miniland model officially opens today (March 9) at 9:15am PT. Featuring the longest Star Wars LEGO model created it is the newest expansion to join the Star Wars Miniland area since 2015.

LEGOLAND Ca invited members of the media for a special preview on March 8, 2017. And we were lucky enough to be on hand.

Young Padawans raised collectively raised their light sabers and join forces with Special Guests, Sarah Michelle Gellar and LEGO R2-D2 to power up the newest addition.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Miniland model display features 6 scenes that represent the first 30 minutes of the epic movie. Scenes include Rey’s rescue of BB-8, Poe and Finn’s TIE Fighter wreck, and more.

As the longest Star Wars model ever the star of the show is the 16 foot Star Destroyer Finalizer. More than 350,000 LEGO pieces were used to create this magnificent display.

The display comes to life with lights, sounds, animation all at the push of a few buttons located around the display. And did I mention the details? Absolutely amazing. All of which, are sure to fascinate kids and adults alike.
