Disney has announced the permanent closure of the kiddie pool located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground effective June 27, 2016. The nearby water play area will remain open. No official reason has been given as to why the pool is closing.
The Walt Disney World Resort has made several changes in the past week after the tragic alligator attack on June 14th at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Guests staying in Magic Kingdom resorts will now see fences along the beach areas. At this time, the beach areas remain closed. Disney is doing everything it can to keep ensure their guest’s safety. We do not know if this pool closure has anything to do with recent events. Stay tuned as we will let you know if a reason is provided.
