Are you going to Disney? Know someone who is? (tag’em they will thank you!) We are talking strollers: which ones, how to mark them, etc.
Strollers get moved at Disney Parks by Cast Members. If you ever want to find your stroller again, making it look distinctive is necessary, but doesn’t have to be hard! Here is a great, temporary solution I came up with (great for rentals or borrowed-from-a-friend strollers)
What you’ll need: a paper towel roll, scissors and pretty duct tape.
1. Cut the paper towel roll or toilet paper tube lengthwise
2. Place over your handles and “roll it”so the tube tightens up a bit (but leave enough room 1/4” or so to get a pair of scissors under the lip for removal)
3. Wrap in pretty duct tape (I’m a red and white polka dot kinda girl)
4. You can add your favorite Disney stickers if you want
Now you have a pretty, temporary, doesn’t-matter-if-it-rains marker for your stroller that will make it easy to find and deter it from getting nabbed (although stroller stealing doesn’t happen often).
You can also tie a scarf or mark with a balloon, or print a fancy sign and put into a page protector and tape to the stroller – but I found this to be non-intrusive and easy to do.
Have any other ideas? Post them here!
Now, what kind of stroller is best for Disney? I like this double Joovy model I borrow from a friend for our trips- it gives us space to put our stuff when we don’t want to carry it anymore (we take a backpack, a small soft cooler and the big camera) and has a spot for my son (who was 8) to sit when he needs a quick break to sit….. and it gives me a great view of this adorable little princess rocking the Scandinavian Princess dress!
What a great idea! I can’t wait to do this on our next trip!!!
How much fun is this? While I no longer have a need for a stroller, I can only imagine my Mickey Mouse duct tape would look fabulous!
Great idea! I use bread twist-ties to affix battery powered lights to our stroller…usually wrapping the sides of the handles. Makes finding it in the dark after Fantasmic! a cinch! We get the neon rope lights, which are also waterproof!
