Being a Disneyland Annual Passholder definitely has its perks and one of those was being able to be at Season of the Force on opening day!

I am a self-proclaimed Disney foodie, so one of my main missions this trip was to check out the Star Wars themed goodies available at The Galactic Grill.
There are 2 different menus featuring delectable choices from The Light Side or The Dark Side!
I couldn’t resist the pull to The Dark Side when it came to choosing what to have for dinner. I just had to try the First Order Specialty Burger. This burger boasts an angus beef and chorizo patty topped with batter-fried cherry peppers and spicy lime aioli all on a dark bun and served with your choice of fresh fruit or fries for $11.49. I wasn’t sure what to expect from my burger, but it was absolutely delicious. I will admit to being slightly thrown off by the dark bun. It didn’t taste any different, but at times I’d look at it and it looks just like chocolate cake!
For those that must have everything Star Wars, you can upgrade your meal for just $8 more and your meal will be served in a Han Solo carbonite bucket!
My husband stayed on The Light Side going with the Jedi Order Chicken Sandwich. This chicken sandwich has a five-spiced chicken breast topped with batter fried green beans, pickled red onions, watercress and a wasabi mayo and is served with your choice of fresh fruit or fries. My husband really enjoyed his sandwich and because he didn’t read the menu, he said it was like getting a surprise with every bite.
We, of course, had to try The Light Side and The Dark Side specialty drinks. This is where we mixed it up, because my husband is not a fan of apple drinks or of those little jelly balls in drinks. So I got The Light Side which was fantastic! The Light Side is lemonade and granny smith apple with yogurt meteors and it included a light-up Millennium Falcon. The Dark Side is lemonade and strawberry and includes a light-up Death Star. Both drinks were good, but not surprisingly we both thought The Light Side was better!
We unfortunately didn’t have room for dessert, but they did look and sound delicious! The Light Side offers a BB-8 rice crisp treat with white chocolate and candied chocolate. It is so adorable I’m not sure I’d ever be able to eat it! For those that love the walk on the Dark Side you have two choices. There is the Darth by Chocolate parfait with layers of red velvet cake, chocolate sponge and dark chocolate ganache topped with a chocolate Darth Vader head or you can try The Pastry Menace which is an eclair filled with spicy milk chocolate. Both of these are screaming my name on our next trip!
