So you managed to score a last minute trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, hooray! But, in all the excitement, you didn’t get a chance to book transportation with Disney’s Magical Express. Well not to worry, there are plenty of other options available to get you where you need to go.
When you arrive at Orlando International Airport (MCO), proceed to either the A or the B side of the airport, depending on your arriving airline. After you have you claimed your baggage head to the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1) in either terminal. From there, you can choose from a variety of transportation options, including renting a car, requesting an UBER, getting a taxi, arranging a private rental car or utilizing a share-ride van.
If you choose to go with a taxi or a shared-van, you can inquire with multiple companies in the transportation area. The shared-ride will set you back around $25 per person, one-way. So, I would suggest this would be the better option for smaller parties, or a couples only trip. Alternatively, if you would rather not share a ride, you can get a taxi to Disney for approximately $60, one-way.
If you prefer something a little more luxurious, you can opt for either a black car/SUV or an UBER Black. A black car will set you back about $60-80 depending on the company and the car type you choose. Along those lines, please note the UBER is available at Orlando International, but you can only request UBER black. For those that prefer to use the ride-sharing app, note that it will cost about $80, one way.
Lastly, if you prefer to have access to a car for the entirety of your trip, you can rent a car as well. A smaller, compact car will run as little as $15 per day (plus taxes and fees). You can also rent an SUV staring at around $25 per day.
If you want to research all the options before you arrive, you can check out Orlando International Airport’s website at https://orlandoairports.net/parking-transportation/#local-transport. The site contains a list of available transportation options as well as contact details for them. You can also check out your favorite transportation sites for great deals. Finally, if you just want to wing it, feel free to grab a taxi or UBER when you arrive. Either way, I wish you a Magical vacation!
