The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is located outside of the Hollywood Brown Derby in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is a great little outdoor spot to sit, have a drink, enjoy light snacks and relax while people watching. This is the second time I have enjoyed the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge. Last year, I wrote another review that you can read here.
Menu
The menu is a good size with some yummy drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and a few appetizer sized plates that are great for sharing! Last year the menu was updated, some of the items remained from before (the Derby Sliders for one).

Food
During my first visit to Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge, my husband and I got the Derby Sliders. We decided to get them again this trip as a comparison. We opted to not get the Duck Confit slider and instead asked for two (2) Beef Sliders. They were flavorful and delicious. The toppings for these sliders (smoked gouda, bacon, avocado, and Cognac-mustard aioli) added the perfect flavor. The house made chips were good. Not my favorite thing but not bad either.

I’m a sucker for Shrimp and Grits. I love to cook them, eat them….I just LOVE shrimp and grits. So seeing them on the menu I HAD to try them. They didn’t disappoint! Cheddar cheese grits with andouille crusted shrimp, how could you go wrong?? It was like a million degrees (ok, maybe not a million, but if you’ve been to Florida in June then you know it’s HOT and HUMID!) when we ate here and I still enjoy the heck out of this meal.

Lastly, the Crispy Bites. Parmesan-Goat Cheese Risotto Sticks with a Whole Grain Dijon Mustard Aioli and Brie Cheese with Sweet Onion Jam. The Risotto was ok. If you’ve had the Arancini from Via Napoli in Epcot then you may not like this. The Brie on the other had was delicious! Ooey-gooey goodness. I enjoyed the fig sauce and onion jam. I’m not a huge fan of mustard but the aioli was good.

Drinks
I can’t forget to talk about the drinks we had. Since it was so hot, I wanted something light and refreshing. The White Sangria was the perfect drink. A little fruity, a little bubbly, all in all the perfect drink to cool off with!

My husband is a beer drinker and likes trying new things so he ordered an Jai Alai…..he wasn’t a fan. He drank half before switching to something else more familiar. Of course, beer is subjective to each person and no fault of the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge.

My daughter ordered a Pineapple No-jito and loved it! Perfect choice for a non alcoholic drink!

Overall, I highly recommend the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge! It’s a great place to sit and enjoy some drinks and appetizers. Kids are welcome (as you can tell by some of mine peeking around pictures).
