As many of you know, the Hollywood Brown Derby is located in Hollywood Studios, what you may not realize that off to the side is a cute little patio with just 4 tables and a bar (currently in the process of being expanded). This little outdoor area is known as the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge. It’s a great spot to sit, enjoy some appetizers and drinks, and listen to some of the live music that happens in the park.
DIStracted Tip: The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge does NOT accept the Disney Dining Plan nor can you make Advanced Dining Reservations.
This was the first meal of our trip and it was perfect after a long day of driving! You can order off of the Hollywood Brown Derby menu but I chose the bar menu. I started my meal off with a nice glass of Chardonnay (perfect for the hot day!).
For our food we had the Cheese and Charcuterie Board. This was a mix of Salami, Prosciutto, Cheddar Cheese, Stilton, Pickles, etc. It was delicious and perfect with the wine. (although I wish there would have been a cheese other than cheddar. It would’ve been nice to have a brie on this plate)
The Mussels. These mussels were cooked perfectly and the broth was delicious! There was some applewood smoked bacon and bell peppers mixed in with the mussels and served in a garlic butter sauce! It was delicious and I could’ve ordered 2 of these!
The Derby Sliders. This had 2 sliders and some hand-cut chips. One slider was beef with bacon, cheese, and tomato. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious! The second slider was duck with a slaw. It was cooked well and the flavor was good I’m not a big fan of duck though so I think next time I would order 2 beef sliders. The chips were soggy and had no flavor.
Overall, this meal was delicious and I am looking forward to my next trip to the lounge!
