As the year-plus long diamond anniversary celebration winds down at Disneyland, it’s nice to see Walt Disney World get a little diamond of its own. Granted, the Diamond Horseshoe has been in Frontierland since the Magic Kingdom opened, but is now being re-purposed as a table-service restaurant. Yes, you read that right. Table service is coming to Frontierland, and it all begins March 13, 2016!
An all-you-care-to-eat feast will be available for lunch or dinner. It begins with a Frontier Salad (greens, roasted corn, tomatoes, cornbread croutons, and a house-made chipotle-ranch dressing) and cornbread to share. After that, Guests may choose from stewed beef with mashed potatoes, BBQ pulled turkey served over cornbread, or spit-roasted ham served with country beans. Seasonal veggies are served with each entree.
Dessert is a choice between an apple tart or a Campfire Brownie (a graham cracker-crusted chocolate brownie with toasted marshmallow on top).
Also included are soft drinks, coffee, tea, and milk. The cost is $33 plus tax per adult, and $19 plus tax per child (3-9).
Call 407-WDW-DINE to make reservations. Right now, reservations are available from March 13 to May 30. There is no word yet whether or not this is a permanent addition or if they will accept the Disney Dining plan or offer any discounts – but check back with us for updates.
